Winter Wonderland...

It snowed! This is the first snow i've seen in London.

This is the pretty sight we woke up to yesterday:

By the time i left the house for work it was already melting and i almost broke my neck. The two minute walk to the tube station took 10 minutes.

I'm over the snow - but this morning we just had ice. Definitely don't like ice.

You have a garden in London? That must cost you a frikken fortune!

Well i suppose it depends on what you think a fortune is for rent.

We have a 3 bedroom place with a yard in Ealing, only 30 mins by tube from the centre of London - for £1200 per month.

It is incredibly expensive to live in this city - but SO worth it!!!

Oh - plus, that road you see out the back of the yard - that's the A40. I now can't fall asleep unless it's to the sound of traffic on a motorway.

I used to live in Kingston, so yea I know how expensive it can be! After 6 years though it tends to do your head in :-)
